Soft Day
Soft Day was a challenge I set myself after a previous sharp charcoal drawing, wanting to capture a softer environment. It is based on a scene we came across while walking Offa’s Dyke path, where a group of Monkey puzzle trees had been planted in a cluster. It was a misty day and they loomed up out of the white. I changed them to fir trees, a Monkey puzzle trees are sharp, to soften the piece even more.
