Seatoller Mist and Sedge Grass 2 was drawn from sketches and referance pictures during a rainy day in the Lake District. This piece is a testament to the beauty and serenity found in this region, highlighting the common yet captivating sedge grass amidst the mist and rain. My wife and good friend where climbing a small section of the mountain, I was sheltering from the battering rain, I observed the scene outside our motorhome and felt compelled to capture its. Seatoller, a starting point for the our favourite route up Scafell, England’s tallest mountain, provided the perfect backdrop for my sketches. The mountains in the background are faintly visible, but it is the sedge grass in the foreground that steals the show. This grass, a staple in the wetter areas of the Lake District, adds a touch of realism and authenticity to the piece.
I wanted to capture the wetness of the day, the wind and the rain, the type that left one soaked in moments of venturing out in it. It was fun to do, and this second version seem to capture the rain better than the first attempt.
This is a limited edition print of 20 only, there will be no more. These fine art prints are printed on a Canon Image pro 2100 High quality printer with advanced image processing and 12 colour pigment inks [Pigment inks holds it’s colour, quality and vibrancy]. The paper is Fine Art Professional Inkjet Soft White Cotton 280gsm.
The paper size is A3 (29.7 cm x 42 cm or 11.7 in x 16.5 in) each comes with the artist signature and a numbered certificate of authenticity (including a tamperproof serial numbered foil)
